Recently, I asked my Facebook followers to share pictures of their Blue & Gold decorations. So many people responded that I couldn't include all of their pictures in one post. Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more of their ideas.
A huge thank you to everyone who shared their pictures!
I love these centerpieces that Trey Roberts' pack made. They look like they would be easy to make and inexpensive.
You can see how great they looked on the tables.
Trey's pack created 11″ x 17″ activity placemats that had a crossword puzzle, a word search, and tic tac toe grids to keep the Scouts (and their siblings) busy.
If you don't want to create your own, Akela's Council has a couple of free printable placemats you can download.

Here's another take on the fan centerpieces from Jenkins Kid Farm. They call them "lollies."
This is from our pack. The Scouts used the boxes to store photos, belt loops, and other memorbilia.
Jenkins Kid Farm also made these photo holder centerpieces for one of their Blue and Gold banquets. The instructions are in this post.

Beth from All the Quiet Things made this Cub Scout "cake." It would be perfect to put on a check-in table, a dessert buffet, or the awards table.
She has free templates for the cake slice boxes that you can download. Fill them with candy for the Scouts to take home with them.

I don't have a picture, but I love Kathy Peters' decorating idea.
"In January, we pick a theme for our Blue & Gold. Using recyclable materials (think: old boxes, pop bottles, lids, plastic containers), the dens "build" our decorations at the January pack meeting to use at the February Blue & Gold."
"Ours isn't pretty, but the Scouts love it! Last year, we had a speaker on robots, so we built robots. This year we had 'transportation' as the theme, so they built trains, tanks, cars, and rockets!"
